IMPORTANT:
You must see your advisor and take care of any registration holds before you can register for classes.
Students new to Sowela must apply by June 28th in order to register for Fall classes during early registration.

ORIENTATION: First time students must attend an orientation session in order to register for Fall classes. Please call Student Affairs at (337) 491-2688 to schedule.

Regular Orientation dates, time, and location:
Thursday, July 1st - Sowela Administration Building, 2:00 p.m.
Thursday, July 8th - Sowela Administration Building, 2:00 p.m.

Late Orientation dates, time, and location:
Thursday, August 5th - Sowela Administration Building, 2:00 p.m.
Thursday, August 12th - Sowela Administration Building, 2:00 p.m.


FIRST TIME STUDENTS:
Prospective Sowela students who have not been accepted to the college must apply by June 28th to be eligible for early Fall registration, which will be held July 13th thru July 15th.  Applications are available at the student affairs office in the Administration Building or online.

Those students accepted to the college after June 28th will need to register during late registration, which will be held August 17th thru August 19th.


Deadline for Fall application is August 2, 2010.

Where are the administrative offices located?
All of the Student Administrative offices have re-located to Administrative Building. Please stop at the information desk located in the downstairs lobby for questions on a particular service.
How do I find my class?
Signage is placed throughout the campus. There will be members of the faculty and staff located across campus to help with directions.
What about parking?
Student parking is located on the northern end of the main campus behind the Mechanical Building. There are also student parking areas behind the Computer Building and Transportation Technology building.

There are entrances to the main campus by the Computer Building and one located off Mersenger Blvd. There is an entrance to the Transportation Technology building off Mersenger Blvd.

Look for signage before parking. Do not park in areas designated for Faculty and Staff.
What do I do the first day of class?

If you have never attended class on campus before:

• Determine your first day and meeting time (plan to be 1/2 hour early to find your way)
• Find the building listed on your schedule
• Find the room number on your schedule
• Locate buildings in this manor: (Campus Map)
